Still under contract at Stockport, worth a punt?

This is a difficult one. The fact that he stayed with us for the play-off final tends to suggest his future may be with Carlisle.

I must admit that (similar to Joel Senior and Corey Whelan) I wasn't that impressed prior to the last few games of the season.

Then, particularly in the semi-final games against Bradford City, he suddenly started to look good.

Simmo has watched him in action (both in training and matches) all season and has always spoken highly of him.

Because of this I am sure he has already decided if he is potentially good enough for Division 1.

Either way Simmo is playing his cards close to his chest on this one.

Could that be because negotiations with Stockport are already taking place?

We need cover at the back and, for me, it’s better the devil you know. Barclay has blown hot and cold but Simmo seems to have found a way to get him to blow hot more of the time.
