Mike Dean - Quits VAR - After Talks with PGMOL Boss Howard Webb

Mike Dean has quit his exclusive VAR job after talks with PGMOL boss Howard Webb.

Premier League VAR official Mike Dean has decided to quit his role as one of 2 full time VAR officials,
following talks with PGMOL boss Howard Webb, ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He quits after reaching a agreement with professional game match officials boss Howard Webb.

Mike Dean retired from being a full time referee at the end of the 2021-22 season, moving to become
an exclusive VAR official at Stockley Park, for the 2022-23 premier league season.
Mike Dean who had been the premier leagues longest serving referee.
Dean steps down after media speculation that he was " unsuited to the VAR role".
Despite being in a full time role, Dean had not been appointed to VAR duties for a premier league game
    since February earlier this year.
Mike Dean in his VAR role lasted longer than the second exclusive VAR official Lee Mason, who was
stood down after making a mistake during the Arsenal v Brentford draw in February, Mason failed to
draw the VAR lines correctly, after which he quit his PGMOL role.

Mike Dean made a big error with VAR during a Chelsea Fc v Tottenham Hotspur game this last season.

With ex-premier league referee Graham Poll saying it " was not good enough ", over Deans obvious
    mistake.

Howard Webb needs to step on quite a few referees this season, after starting with the VAR roles.
