I've only seen videos of Mochrie playing for lower league clubs against lower league clubs, but from what I've seen, he looks like he would offer a dimension that we don't currently have and haven't had for a long time - someone who looks to bring the ball forward quickly, turning defence into attack, beating one or two opponents, taking them out of the game and then playing a killer pass or making a scoring chance for himself. Rather than strolling forward and then looking for a square pass to make and slowing everything down, his play stretches defences and pulls them out of shape, creating space for others to exploit. Whether or not he can do it for our first team remains to be seen, but if we don't get to see this coming season then surely we never will?

i Remember him doing it at Ibrox in that game we played the kids and they were brilliant, he drove from box to box and then pulled his shot a bit at the end. I think he has the potential but it will all depend on Goodman. Will he be brave enough to play the young, Technical players or go down the older, Journeyman players route just to get out. It is Scottish football after all.

Is he defensive mid? That's what we have been missing all season. ☹️

I don't know, but looks fairly attacking from that Dunfermline compilation that was shared here. Seems like he often picks the ball up in defensive positions but carries it well up the pitch into attacking positions and splits the opposition defence with a through ball.

Sorry, I know he's not but getting one has got to be priority #1 from a midfield perspective.

I agree though, I think there is potential in him.

    Mochrie's a Pawlett type player.

For Glass, see Chalmers. A boy who's has a million chances and doesn't take them. Word is, he's never quite gotten over his cruciate injury.

Yes, defensive midfielder is more important to find. But an attacking midfielder is also something we have been lacking for a while and given that we already have him on our books and the club has just dropped down a level, he must be worth having a proper look at and not just sending out on loan for the umpt e e n th time.
