    Player of the season

Right, then, who gets your vote? (we haven't done this already, have we? )

Pope has saved us some points at times and been generally fantastic.

Trippier has led by exampple and been brilliant.

    Joelinton's transformation has been remarkable.

Botman could fit into any backline in the Prem, imo.

Bruno is the best midfielder we've had in a long, long while.

Longstaff allows the rest of the midfield to do their thing.

Wilson hit form at the right time.

You could make a case for Burn, too, given that he's played out of position yet was part of the league's joint best defence.

I think, for consistency and for what he represents and means to both the team and the fans, it's Trippier for me.

Trips for me. His experience and leadership qualities have helped us create a completely different mindset within the club. Though I’ve not seen evidence of it, you can tell he will uphold standards in day to day training and is a natural born leader.

Joelinton deserves a mention but who doesn’t? Fantastic season from a very likeable squad and coaches. Same again next year please!

Schär has been amazing too, but I think it's Trippier for me.

The truth is I don't have a single player of the season - I think they have all been remarkable in their own individual way, as you've described, Zip. I wouldn't have one without all the others, honestly. The reason these players are performing are because of the manager and because of each other. It's the team as a unit that's special about this season, for me.

...BUT that would be a boring answer to your question, Zip

The whole dang lot of them.

Gotta be Trippier though. I also think Schar deserves a epecial mention though. Quiet, effective, solid defending which can go unnoticed, said it before.

It could be any of them really.

But for me has to be Trips - he has led the attitude change and the mentality, without him I dont' think we finish in top 4.
