    Joe shuggy

Looks a decent signing and Ashcroft I'm fairly pleased with.

Agree. Sort of player we need in our team. Apparently competition for his signature. Does our new manager have respect? Be the first one to arrive with a good established reputation since Hartley.

I think players like working with managers who rate them, think we may see 2 or 3 signings who have worked with the doc before.

If he can "steel us up" a bit it will be no bad thing.

We haven't really had a real physical side for a long time......goes a long way in Scotland.

Dont think we will see any marquee signings, just experienced players who are consistent performers.

I think that Sam Fisher will probably be away or on loan at Dunfermline next season.

How exactly does a lian work? Who is responsible for training and fitness? What benefit is there being on loan if the player is not getting first team experience?

Sam Fisher played in almost every first team game when he was on loan at Dunfermline in his preferred position of centre half. He came back to Dundee during the January transfer window and spent most of the remaining games in the 2022-23 season sitting on the subs bench.
When he did come on as a substitute he played at right back which he can also play but prefers to play at centre half.
Some Dundee players on loan at part time clubs train with Dundee during the week and then play for the club they are at loan.
I think that Finn Robertson did that when he was on loan at from memory Cove Rangers.

When josh was on loan at Peterhead , he trained 3 times a week at dens with the first team , then 2 nights at Peterhead on the days he missed at dens , then met up on match days for the Peterhead game

He obviously worked really hard. Hope TD gets a programme similar for all our young players on loan.
