The lad was class at Leeds. Pep doesn't buy duds. Every single MCity signing has been class. Sterling was mint, sold for a profit. Ferran Torres was class just didn't get game time and was sold to fund Haaland. That lad is unreal!

Phillips had a bad injury early in the season. We've seen with our lot, Targett for example. Once you are out of a winning team it's near close to impossible to get back in under a top top coach. That's our rag-tag band of brothers.

A lad of Phillips obvious quality taking the step up from being Leeds stand-out talent to joining 'Pep's world beaters' was always gonna take time to stake him claim on a first team birth.
The lad is not only getting back to fitness but look at that midfield he's competing with FFS. Another way of looking at it take Gordon for example. Fit by Everton's standards, looked lost in most of his appearances for us.

Doesn't mean either lad don't have the quality to be top top EPL players for us or City as Phillips looks to stay and fight for his place. Grealish took pelters for under performing yet towards the back end of the season he has show his quality and been integral to their late title charge and also instrumental in the FA Cup final beating the put on the filth.

In short, I'd be delighted if we signed Phillips. He's class. EH would get him easily back to Leeds form if not take him up levels like EH has done with of all our 'Championship standard, relegation fodder' motley crew.

Yet I expect Phillips to be at City next season, stay fit and have a class season as they romp to yet another title.

I've never rated Phillips but then i've not seen enough of him.

The Macallister to Liverpool transfer is annoying. Why has he gone there?! They get their transfers done very early. No messing about.

People slagged off Grealish, and mocked City paying a massive fee for him, Pep hardly played him and he looked lost on the pitch.

See how Kalvin Philips does next season before writing him off.

I rate him and would have him here.

However, I don't think attitude wise he's a Howe type of player.

If he’d put a shift in then Leicester would still be in the PL.

    Nahh, can't see it.

To be honest, the way we do business, none of the journos will have a clue.

Another example of shiit off-loading wishful thinking to help a rival. Be amazed if it happened. Not our bag.
