    23/24 squad numbers

    1. Joe Wildsmith (GK)

    2. Kane Wilson

    3. Craig Forsyth

    4. Conor Hourihane

    5. Sonny Bradley

    6. Eiran Cashin

    7. Tom Barkhuizen

    8. Max Bird

    9. James Collins

    11. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

    12. Korey Smith

    13. Scott Loach (GK)

    14. Conor Washington

    16. Liam Thompson

    17. Louie Sibley

    20. Callum Elder

    23. Joe Ward

    26. Darren Robinson

    31. Josh Vickers (GK)

    34. Jake Rooney

    35. Curtis Nelson

Bardell, Brown, Radcliffe and Bradley J are included in the U21 squad. Not a great surprise as only professionals over 21 need to be named in the 22 man squad. Those under 21 are ancillary to the squad of 22 and can be included in the team at any time. This leaves room for over 21s to be signed

Having said that, young Robinson, Liam T, Cash, Sibs and Jake Rooney HAVE been given a first team squad number, meaning he's likely to be, IMO, a reasonable bet for a place in the matchday 18. That gives us 16 over 21s in the squad so, within the rules, we can sign 6 more over 21s.... Don't see PW signing that many as that would be a 31 man squad including all those age 21 and below. Far too many for his liking.

Nobody has #10 in that list, which should appeal to rA as it may infer a plan to sign a "starter up front"
