West Ham- an achievement or not ?

When you win any cup competition you have to be applauded. However, this 3rd tier competition( a UEFA money making tournament) is for teams that are not quite good enough. For Moyes, it represented a stay of execution when his team badly struggled in the PL. in fact , any other club would have sacked him , long before now, as the Championship loomed closer and closer , as we all finished singing Auld Lang Syne. Last nights game will be remembered for the unfortunate idiotic behaviour which led to an Italian player sustaining a serious and unnecessary injury. It looks as though the club will be fined heavily because of this incident.
Can West Ham use this success to move forward next season ? It looks unlikely right now. Moyes may even be under more pressure than he was this last 3 months.
West Ham fans, enjoy your success. It’s been a long time coming.

    Achievement- yes definitely

It’s not easy to win any game but several in a cup competition is difficult at any level of football

Pleased for West Ham tbh I think they’re a good club with traditions much like ourselves.

The distraction from the Premier league didn’t help them I don’t think, and Declan rice is in my opinion un replaceable without him they could struggle again next year especially with Europa league qualification.

Tremendous achievement to win a European trophy. All credit to West Ham, they could easily have sacked Moyes but they held their nerve and it's paid off. Good luck to them.

I felt sorry for the Hammers fans who were seriously assaulted pre-match and missed the game.

I'm not a fan of the Czech Republic nor their brutal policing policy.

As for winning the trophy, a win's a win.

def an achievement but spoiled by one nob head who shamed the Club and fans and will cost them dearly.
