Barnsley FC are pleased to announce the signing of striker Josh White from Ward Green FC as a direct replacement for Devante Cole.

CEO Ahmad says 32 year old White is just the kind of experienced player with knowledge of the local Sunday League scene the club has been seeking.

( No offence to Ward Green club which is a fine, traditional local club)

Personally, that type of thing wouldn't be a great shock to me SB. James Norwood was sold on the eve of the new season to a non league club. The sale of Cole might be the straw that broke the Camels back for the many who are still undecided on the 'new board'

Personally I'd cash in on him right now unless his attitude changes. Judging by the goal celebrations yesterday, the squad appears to have less unity than last season

To be honest I am not sure how you can judge anything on goal celebrations, last year Cole was supposed to be unhappy according to some because of his muted celebrations ,but the lad is still here & doing a great job , different people react differently but I honestly think that judging a group of players by how they celebrate goals is frankly looking for something that is not there .
