    RIP Tone

Sad to hear the voice of midlands football has passed, an absolute fixture from my football past, Hail Saunders of the Villa, get yer prayer mats out, the Butler prediction, happy memories, thanks Tone.

Not always understood and rarely appreciated. Loved his shows in the 70s. The phone-ins were hilarious, must listen.

How would ‘Tone’ have survived in the wokey w@nky broadcasting abomination, that we have to suffer nowadays?

‘Park yer bike’, Tone. Thanks for the memories.

Yes very sad, in the early days, I always remember him saying, "get your prayer mats out" and pray for a Villa goal, then the siren would go off......brilliant. RIP mate.

An instantly recognisable voice on the radio, "we're going straight to Villa Park" - RIP Tony Butler.
