    RIP Sinead O’Connor.

A tortured soul, dead at 56.

    What a song!

Poor girl. Was with us for a while last year. Nice ordinary person. A tortured soul perhaps. But could be quite witty about her predicament in life.Always could laugh at herself. Good character...

I’ve had a really bad day on a personal level today and I’ve actually found SKY News a very tough watch whilst they’ve been discussing her life and her struggles.

Watching that video always gets to me, she was just 23 at that time and yet you can already see such sadness in that lovely young face.

Then losing her 17 year old son to suicide last year.

Someone who truly deserves to rest in peace.

In the strangest of ways, it is one of the positives I take from my job.....thankfully I get to go home after a 12 hour shift. Alas to often when I come in the next day, somebody has died perhaps unexpectantly.
Actually when I arrived in this morning I was told one of my work colleagues with a great sense of humour had to leave her shift last night as her brother died. Quite a shock. I worked for a few hours and just thought fcuk it I'm off. Wasn't busy and plenty of staff around so just took hours.
Some times priorities of life can come into focus quickly. Today was one of them for me.
Hang tough Mick. Thankfully we will get another day but I never take it for granted.....

This is a lovely rendition of a classic Irish song by her singing live unaccompanied.

    Some days are unbelievably grim.

On days like today I really wonder why I bother keeping on going…….when those closest to you hurt you the most.

Life is a challenge so enjoy every day as tomorrow may never come. Enjoy any money you have as it won’t be appreciated when you are gone and crazy if luxuries have been foregone.

Yet again I learn of someone's passing when I log on here. RIP Sinead. A troubled soul indeed but one who faced personal tragedy as well as mental health issues. She could be both aggressive and uncompromising as well as warm and witty and possessed a great voice capable of conveying great emotion. Wherever she is now she deserves some peace.

    RIP Sinead.

Great voice that did brilliantly justice to Prince's lyrics.
