Yep - miracle we stayed up the season before - suspect the fitness from the Bielsa regime, some players being fit again and moments of brilliance from Rapha were the main reasons.
It was obvious after 8 games last season that Marsch was clueless and turned the team into a chaotic mess where there was a very simple and obvious way to beat us.
Maybe it's just me but the squad is looking low on numbers especially midfield, lots of the "joke" websites on News Now saying Shackleton is on his way out and linking us with more wingers.
Looking at the number of players we have who are easily injured I don't hold out much hope of promotion.
Still no Left back or Striker in is a concern. I hope our youth players get the chance and perform. Long hard season ahead with every match a Cup game.
Yep, but my wish may come through as we will be forced to play the younger players eg Henje Creswell CB pairing as now even Captain Hopeless is on the move. So far looks like 10 have gone and only 2 were brought in its just silly to think this group is any different from what we had.
I knew the 49ers were a selling club this sort of proves it.
Anyway from what has gone I won't lose any sleep.
Ohhh Meatball Mckennie's mom for Juve against real Madrid lol
You said, in the first post on this thread;
"GK- Darlow (Meslier is done for me, just get Darlow in early)", there is nothing in that sentence that indicates that you see Darlow as starting keeper because the club will sell Meslier, it simply echoes your comments in other posts voicing criticism of Meslier without providing a shred of evidence to back them up. So no, I wasn't insulting anyone, simply calling out your personal campaign to relegate Meslier to second fiddle, just like he was behind the clown until he was suspended.
Your also in a minority of one when it comes to the team that faces Cardiff, in that no-one else sees Darlow as a preferred option between the sticks.
Meslier is available, and unless and until sold, he should be the starting keeper (unless and until he fails to perform, which none of us can predict now ere back in the Championship).
The main reasons we are in the Championship have very little to do with any single player. The squad/team failed, and they failed because they were badly managed by a coach/manager who was completely out of his depth, and completely let down by an executive that thought it was better to invest in "40-ers" friendly players than in ones that could actually play football. We have lacked a suitably capable striker to replace/support Bamford for the last three seasons (you talk about "attitude, have you seen footage of Rodrigo on the occasions where he was expected to actually work for his wage?), and VERYONE knows that, in addition to playing a number of players out of position because the LB situation hasn't been addressed for much the same period of time.
You win football matches as a team and you lose them the same way. No single player is responsible for a win or a loss, but the errors of the keeper are the most magnified because;
1, There is only one keeper, obviously
2. He is the last line of defence, equally obviously.
You ask "Why should he start?". For precisely the fact that he has played Premiership football, facing the likes of Kane, Haaland, Toney, Son, Rashford, etc etc, all of whom are supported by some of the best "creative" midfields, in the footballing world.
Over the same 3-season period, Darlow has played a total of 45, 12 of those in the Championship.
I know who I would trust to start, and it ain't Darlow.
Firstly I didn't single him out as I said one of the reasons.
Secondly, he was horrible and that's secondary to the defense question.
I trusted Robles more than him at the end.
I did not agree with buying Darlow and as I said Robles would have been a cheaper option.
If the manager says Darlow will start I won't be crying.
