I have no idea when Alan Pace found the long lost key to the Dry Powder Room but by gosh he has.

    Perhaps he's using Monopoly money?

He isn't using ALK's money, that's for sure.

ALK must have credit in the bank somewhere mon ami, because we have just launched offers for the thick end of £35 million for two more players and according to French news outlets one has been accepted.

I thought we would start recouping a few quid by selling "bit" players but BPF and McNally have both been sent out on loan.

I would guess they're using this season's TV money that's been advanced to us by Macquairie. What could possibly go wrong.

The evidence so far suggests that Mr Pace is mindful of the need for operating costs. He seems to hold about £50 million in cash reserves to keep the show on the road.

Swissclaret made an interesting point a few weeks ago when he said money can be borrowed against current playing assets, so for example splash £20 million on James Trafford and then buy an exotic left back for £17 million.

I have no idea if the scheme will work mon ami but it's irrefutable that we are building one heck of a squad.
