Perhaps you could put the question to all posters and then take a general consensus.

However, as you have asked the question I will answer it. It matters little to me who the Mods are as I rarely use offensive language and have not broken any of the forum rules as far as I am aware. I’d hope that Mods on any forum could lead by example.

If Mick wishes to be a Mod it is fine with me, as long as he was able to act without favour and lead by example, by keeping to the rules expressed by FM.

Mick is a professional business owner so very fair. Anyone can deem anything offensive as look no further than Des who is the Mod at the moment - his posts can contain bad language and he clearly says what he thinks and takes no prisoners. That's what i like about Des and reading his posts albeit infrequent. Clearly, if you were easily offended you wouldn't even attend a football match.

I understand your sentiments. However, I don’t believe there is a need for any poster to make personal insults towards another because they have an opinion that differs from their own. That was my point. Not really about whether one is easily offended.

For the record I am a professional. I run a family business. I will not say more than that as this is a public forum and I have no intention of discussing my business etc. on it.

Stevil or Mick are good posters and suitable. As is 123.
Snap, I sometimes go weeks or months without looking on here and I share your pain about the demanding wife.

Happy to endorse Mick, especially now as he has seen the light about Brexit

Al'? A mod'? He may have been a Mod back in the day but if he were a mod' on here we'd all have to leave our footwear at the door before logging in. Fk that 🤣🤣🤣.

I would also be fine with Mick, or the names above being made mods to help Des out, that said we seem to do ok ok here and Des and formerly Chris have done a great job keeping this as a somewhat PC free zone. Just remember if you are a mod it’s all about moderating not dictating.
