Considering that most of the changes to football over the years have been to make it more attacking and increase the number of goals then VAR, which reduces the number of goals (and also the excitement of scoring, since you don't know if it will stand) makes no sense.

Sweden don’t have it , the fans said they didn’t want it so the Swedish FA said ok.

Would the 'top' refs be able to cope without their safety blanket?

good point CAM! I think tht they've become too reliant on VAR so they make less crucial decisions and leave it to the man in the office

Scrap it and invest in providing goal line technology to the 5 divisions
Need to do something about those referees who thought it was ok to just issue an apology to us as well though. Change of career seems appropriate
One thing that Liam did right was telling them they weren’t welcome

I think scrapping VAR altogether would be a huge mistake, but if they want to tinker with it then why not use it for what it was originally designed for and use it for offsides and penalty decisions that are touch and go as to whether contact is made inside or outside of the penalty area, and handball as in the arm being in an unnatural position? they could even use it regarding corner/goalkick incidents to determine which it is but personally I'd keep it, warts and all. If they vote to get rid of it sky will have a field day showing how many mistakes the referee's are making in games. UTM
