    Pars

Official site has a reasonable preview

    https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/new...THLETIC-H.html

Will need to be at our best from the start

Looking forward to seeing which faces have changed around me and hopefully some new good singers too

Ever optimistic before the game and a pre match drink will steady the nerves and lubricate the vocal chords

    Come on United!

Pars fans don't seem too confident. Think they have a few key players out with a woefully thin squad to fill in.

Hearing we are missing Docherty though with a hamstring issue. Most likely Meekison to come in. Other than that, it's got to be 'as it was'.

Missing Docherty would be a big challenge without doubt. Would have no concern about Meekison coming in though. Has all the qualities to be a very good player

That's where we are light, if Sibbald or Docherty are out then weakens other areas but according to JG no one was struggling that played v Arbroath

I don't but the pars fans confidence they are just trying to come in feeling pressure free, they will be right up for it abs it week be a very difficult game, it's all set for them to win really after the praise and the way we were talked up by bbc etc, will had got some noses out of joint

A defeat for it would be the least surprising thing ever

The injury could have happened after the interview.

It's a big miss if so, especially just one week on from Arbroath, already stops the continuity we were hoping for on the back of it

Despite my post last night, had us to win narrowly on the day, as think of we match the effort and desire they will bring we will be better than them overall but RD being out would mean shifting Grimshaw into middle and Freeman to right back

This will be a tougher game. Dunfermline will be hard to break down, so patience and professionalism will be required. A big/noisy home support and an early united goal would be a massive boost to our chances. We are growing in confidence but we are still a bit fragile. A few more wins in the league could galvanise this squad and make us a different beast to play against. We are making baby steps in the right direction but attitude and fight is what we need to see from this team.
I would defo take a 1-0 win at this point.

    Freeman in for Docherty.
