    Lewis Hall

I'm reading we've agreed a fee of 28 million with add ons.
A great young player who did well against us last season and he's a toon supporter which is a huge bonus.
    Hoping this happens, fingers crossed

Latest from SSN is that they are in advanced talks with Chelsea.

Big money for a young player but in Eddie we trust. Looks like all parties are keen. Possibly a loan with view to buy?

That's what is possibly holding things up. Because of all their spending (had anyone noticed, no...?), they need to sell rather than loan but, for the same FFP reason, we need to loan not buy.

    Conundrum.

    Good point.
At 18 years old we could ‘do a Chelsea’ and offer him a longer contract to split the payment over mote years.
It all depends how much Eddie rates him. I think we should mebees push the boat out on this one (if his character is good) because of the position he’d fill/back up.

I suspect he could go straight into the team, once he’s been “ eddied”

He’s a Toon fan despite being born in Slough, going to a private school in Ascot and playing for Chelsea since he was 7 or 8. Apparently the Newcastle link is through his dad who was brought up in the North East.

From the bits and pieces I’ve seen of him he looks an extremely talented player with huge potential. Great first touch, killer crossing ability and has the pace and power to excel in our high energy style of play. This would be a coup and another statement signing, for me.

The rules have changed so you can only spread it out over 5 years, no matter the length of the contract

If only we could get rid hendrick, and fraser free up some cash. Feel a bit for Hayden that nobody that we know of has come in for him.would do a good job in the Championship.
