Very few ordinary people are graced with such honours, they are usually awarded MBEs or OBEs which is fine, but these people do difficult and often thankless work in the community for decades normally unpaid, they rarely, if ever, get the big one.
The work that Breks has instigated in this instance which is being picked up by other clubs; plus the fund raising efforts he has organised over the years for the hospice, in my book deserves nothing less than a knighthood for sure.
