    Kyle Bartley

Has terminated his contract. Good news and fair play to him.

    We're running out of players!

I've also read we're trying to push out Mowatt and Diangana, and Taylor on loan.

If all that happens, we need about 5 players in minimum.

Fair play to him indeed as he need not have done so. Never liked that propensity he sometimes had for finger pointing but, that aside, he could be solid in defence and even now a useful sub to be able to bring on.

His wages certainly may not match his current ability/performances so good news from a financial point of view but the cupboard is emptying at a rather alarming rate (though the mouldy but pretty expensive stuff that never gets used is still at the back somewhere).

Anyhow, good luck to him and wish I'm well

We have been crying out for a commanding centre half and I wondered why Corberan didn’t use Bartley, whilst he has his flaws as part of a back 3 I think he does a good job, doesn’t lose many aerial battles. I’m getting worried now we better have some quality loans coming in or we are really in it..

T think this is a terrible move given the paucity of numbers in our squad.

I’d rather have seen a renegotiation his contract on much reduced wages if he wanted to stay.

He must have a similar offer from elsewhere I would think and I expect him to turn up at a Championship rival or at Wrexham maybe.

According to the rumour mill, he was on 35k per week. 1 year left on his deal.

I imagine we've struck a deal with him to pay him off for about half of what he is owed on his contract. Then he can easily go and get another club in championship who will pay him 15-20k per week where he might be starting games / closer to home / liked by supporters etc.

Lets be honest, he was never a fan favourite was he.

He only played 12 matches last season , the times right to move him on.
We must have some one lined up and Ajay's off to the African cup this winter.
