    Pieters and Furlong

Some shocking defending yet again from these poor players! Doing their utmost to let Boro back in the game

Didn't think Pieters was too bad tbh, but Furlong remains a worry. It's true that he can help create chances for us going forward but he is so prone to defensive errors it's unreal.

Wouldn’t be so bad if he actually passed the ball forward, he irritates me to death with all this backwards passing

Think you can add Ajayi to this list as well poor in defence and an awful passer of the ball , but we have no chance of them being replaced we will havro score 3 goals to win games this season.

Strangely enough salt buddy, I thought AJ had a decent game today and threatened when bringing the ball forward. He also surprised me with a number of precise long cross balls to Philips.
The need for a solid competent central defender is undoubted though, and as you say, unlikely to be rectified in the near future.
Delighted with the 3 points !

    PS
Pieters worries me more than AJ and Kipper, but again he seems to meet Carlos’ structure.

7 goals in the last two home games and a draw away to Leeds last week, given what we have, is for me, better than I could have dreamed of.

Thought the handball was a bit harsh but I was in the minority to be fair.

I to thought AJ was ok today too. Pieters is a worry but there are worse out there.

We are up to 7th but it was Middlesbrough today and they are not doing well. We need to strengthen but we all know that is not going to happen (probably). I’m not thinking we’re going to get automatically promoted or get to the playoffs. We just need to stay in this league until we get better owners.

Good for Sarmiento that he scored.

He gave the ball away in the penalty area in the first half which forced Palmer to save also missed a header for their first goal, I also feel we defend far to deep, although a lot of the issues our defenders have is when they have the ball there is very little movement in front of them.
