Big week

Safe to say we're in a considerably different mood than had things continued as the first half on Saturday (or if they'd not missed a sitter just before we scored) but despite the obvious squad gaps we can be thrilled with our start to the season.

The window will have 'slammed shut' again by the next game, leaving just under a week for business.

I reckon...

Efford will be gone. He's obviously not in the plans and I think SK dislikes him enough we'll make it clear his life will be a misery if he doesn't accept whatever we offer to go.

McGinley might join him. In contrast I think SK has some empathy for him after his time out so he won't be threatened with the treatment. But he needs to get his career going again and we'll loan him to low level England.

Ferrie, Wilson and other kids might go on loan. Ferrie might end up having to stay because of the injury situation though which would be a shame.

Coming in...

Striker times two. Possibly only short term business but we'll definitely act here. Fletcher and Oli Shaw is the whisper. Neither are fully convincing in the circumstances but as good as we can get in our situation?

Another wing back: fast kids who can run all day are ten a penny in England and we saw the difference Spencer made as an outlet Saturday. We'll get another clone of him/Furlong to at least have the option of something different.
