    Reserves

My first Queens reserve game since the days of black and white as I have photographs that prove it. Great 3-1 win today against defending Champions Hibs who had much the better of the first half. Queens did however dominate the second with Irving being the outstanding player scoring a brace and could have had three more only to be foiled by a combination of their keeper and the crossbar as well as having what appeared to be a legitimate goal ruled out. Lewis constantly showed his class finished off by a thunderbolt from the edge of the box into the opposite corner. Queens played crisp flowing football and with a great tempo all watched over by Bartley. You can see his influence on these youngster which can only bode well.

What a difference from a couple of months ago when the Hibees lifted the reserve title at Palmerston by thrashing Queens

Even better that the winning team was full of young local youngsters.
