Romared Match Thoughts Cheltenham Town v Barnsley

After last week's much improved display and three very good points at Wigan it would be criminal to not show up tomorrow and lose to a team who will not be chasing the top six .

Plagued by inconsistency or are we up and running ?

We'll soon find out at 5pm tomorrow .

Now Collins is clear who is available to select from it will be an interesting team selection tomorrow.

He now knows the defence will have to be entirely rebuilt after the departures of the Duff organised key players of Isted/Collins, Andersen, Kitching and B, Thomas (two captain/ leaders). How Collins goes about this rebuilding of a complete back line and the loss of leaders/ experience will, in my opinion, be key to the season.
Playing the bottom club who haven't scored a league goal yet provides an opportunity to start the rebuild and get confidence in the back line knitting together.

Agree SB - if Collins had to select a club to play away today it would be Cheltenham.

Now down to his man management skills to get the squad wearing the shirt playing for each other = harmony and team spirit within.

How good a coach he is will also become more evident as he reorganises his defence and integrates the new players into his squad.

    Good luck to him.

Styles not in squad, crocked/maungy/or gone to join his Hungarian relatives early.

My guess - he’s thrown teddy out of bed cos he’s not got a move back to championship.

He’s got to get it into hid skull the only way that will happen is to shine in leg 1.

Not stroll about like he owns the place. Work work work.

Having not signed experienced defenders I think it's gonna be a season of inconsistency.

Hoping for 3 points today but over the years we've fecked up in fixtures similar to this where the opposition hasn't scored or won yet. Barnsley sometimes provides the perfect tonic for such teams to get their season up and running. We shall see. Good luck boys

Let’s hope this is a games of two halves, this half certainly wasn’t ours with Roberts keeping us in the game.
Shepherds good effort hitting the post the highlight for the reds.
The final ten minutes was our best spell and we need to improve to take anything from the game.
