    Cardiff City v Swansea City

After three defeats in the week preceding the International break, we resume our Championship season in mid September still looking for our first win.
Being in the relegation zone in 20th place is not where we expected to be, especially after signing 13 players to improve the squad during the summer Transfer Window.
Yes we have a new head-coach and he needs time, but he’d better start winning games pretty darn quick or he’ll be looking for a new job.
Then, to rub it in, and at the worst possible time up pops the local derby fixture, away to huge rivals Cardiff.
So here we are, Saturday 16 September, and an evening kick-off at 19:45 (what an odd time to have a local derby), with Swans fans bubbled in from Swansea on buses and both sets of fans having all day to get tanked up before the match, a recipe for trouble.
Cardiff also have a new manager, Germany born Erol Bulut, and a marquee signing in Arron Ramsey.
They’ve also had an indifferent start with only a home win against Sheff Wed and a draw at Leeds to their credit in five matches.
Swans even worse with two points from two draws in their five games.
Whichever team will be fired up the most will win the game, lefts hope its Swansea to kick-start our season.

    Cardiff 2 (Tanner 71’, Ramsey 86’ pen) - Swansea 0
It was a horrible evening, we went down without a fight.
Where we go from here I don’t know. No shape and no idea. Huge gap between midfield and forwards. Misplaced passes, stray passes.
Wide open on the wings with the back three formation exposed. No shot on target until the last 10 minutes, this is not a Swans team that we are used to.
Six games without a win, four consecutive defeats if you include the cup game.
We can’t go on like this.

Boys, what the bleep was that? We looked like Cardiff in disguise. That second half display especially, was unacceptable, we were pathetic, we had no idea, fellow strugglers Cardiff ran rings around us. Midfield was non-functional, huge gap to stranded forwards Lowe and Yates who fed off scraps.
We had better recover quickly, next two matches are critical. We are two points adrift of safety in a relegation spot.
This Tuesday away v QPR and Saturday home v Sheff Wed, another two teams who are struggling, lose those and Duff will be on his way.
