    Swansea v Sheff Wed

The clock is ticking with league game number 8 coming up, 3 points from a possible 21 so far is relegation form and it can’t continue.
Already 16 points behind the leaders Preston, it’s not a good read after hopes were so high of us going for the play-offs this season.
Pressure is mounting on Duff and the team with every passing game without a win.
We have just gone through a sequence of very winnable games and after today’s match against Sheff Wed they get tougher.
    Millwall (A)
    Norwich (H)
    Plymouth (A)
    Leicester (H)
    Watford (H)
    Blackburn (A)
    Sunderland (H)
    Ipswich (A)
    Hull (H)
    Leeds (A)
Try and predict how many points we’ll get from those games the way we’re playing at the moment and it’s frightening.
I can see no improvement in our games, in fact we are regressing with each match, struggling in all areas of the field against average teams.
As an aside, I can’t believe Duff is commuting from his home in Cheltenham to Swansea and is not even based here in the city.
It’s been a massive mistake by the owners appointing Duff and now they are hesitant to dismiss him as they’ll have to pay up his contract.
Just up from League One after beating Duff’s Barnsley team in the play-off final last season, the Sheff Wed match has added importance to Duff personally and he’ll be hoping to get revenge over them for that defeat.
The Owls form is as bad as ours, they are also without a win so far
P7 W0 D2 L5 F5 A11, with one less point than us and below us in the relegation three.
We welcome back one ex-Swan in George Byers, who came on after 60 minutes in the Owls last match, a home draw in midweek against Middlesbrough.
Former Watford boss Xisco Munoz is still looking for his first win since taking charge of the Owls this summer. He took over when Darren Moore was surprisingly sacked after winning the L1 play-off final.
The Owls injury list include: Josh Windass, Dominic Iorfa, Mallik Wilks, Mono Diaby.
Swans injury list include: Cullen - ankle injury, Key - fatigue issues, Allen - groin injury, Naughton - calf injury, Walsh - achilles injury.
Also Cooper is suspended after a red card at QPR.

It was two teams going at it hammer and tongs with a poor ref allowing Wednesday to rough us up. Wood and Ginnelly off injured, extent of injuries unknown until they get scans.
Ginnelly fouled in the area by Valentin, penalty converted by Lowe on 28’ to make it 1-0 and that’s how it stayed in a poor first half.
Much better second-half, Diaby hit the bar after 60’ as Swans clung on to a slender lead. Goals by Yates and Patino on 64’ and 67’ settled the Swans and sealed their first win and first clean sheet of the campaign.

Ginnelly foul was a shirt pull apparently. They were certainly a dirty team and got away with it, with a weak ref and so inconsistent. Hopefully Ginnelly and Wood injuries are not serious.
The main thing is that we won, the 3 points a priority over the performance. You could see the confidence coming back to the players after the third goal went in as they held on to the ball with a passing display reminiscent of better times.
Can we build on that performance or was that first win papering over the cracks? There’s a tough run of games coming up next, starting with Millwall away next Saturday.

Watcha think of that boys? Made my weekend after our win yesterday. Not pretty to watch but main thing is points on the board and out of the bottom three.
Hope the injuries to Wood and Ginnelly are minor ones
Let this be the turnaround of our season and go to Millwall next Saturday and smash em.
