It's an interesting tactic. Imagine a fight, 1 guy lays into another, the other takes a beating and acts submissive, the first guy stops, thinks it's over....and that's when the 2nd starts fighting and the 1st just isn't ready any more. A bit like Mohamed Ali and his rope-a-dope
