    Bolton

Mr Simpson wanted them to beleive in themselves and i think they did, looked active and alive for once and with that got a good win.Bolton did not do themselves justice on this occasion and we took advantage this time out, forget the stats on the pitch because there was a sense of purpose out there 7/10 job done.

They were outthought by Simpson, simple as. Press high, defend in numbers, pass, pass, pass, earn the right to play. Many on their board saying we were shit, so what does that make them? They say they were poor, but they were just as good as we allowed them to be. They’ve been in this league for 3 seasons and have built; we’ve just arrived and are at the start of the process but we were still good enough. And however good/bad we were we STUFFED them. Have a good evening Bolton. I am.

Just seen the goals on tv,what was their keeper doing at the other end of the pitch just before Utds third goal,I’ve seen it happen lots of times in a do or die cup tie but surely it was a risky move in a league game?

It was desperation and they got what they deserved.
