    All in all

...a point away at West Ham, with the form they're in, after the exertions of Tuesday, isn't a bad result.

Yes, we probably should have won it, given the lateness of our equalizer and the Isak chance but, equally, we could have lost it right at the end and have Pope to thank for that not happening.

I keep going back to that stat about teams in their first Champions League season finishing 8th, on average. After two big European nights, 4 points in the following games is a good return.

You mean Wednesday night’s exertions. If we had played on Tuesday we’d have seen out the game with all 3 points, such is the advantage of an extra day’s rest.

Agree that it’s a good point when you take out the emotion. Never feels like a good point when you concede a very late equaliser though. Hopefully the international break will be a chance to freshen up and get some bodies back in the squad after injury. We’re going to need some luck with injuries and suspensions as this is going to be a long season.

Barnes won’t be back by the Palace game but I’m hoping all the others are, even Willock? Fingers crossed no injuries in the internationals - we have something like 7 games in 22 days when we play again including 2 games v Dortmund and the Carabao game at Old Trafford.

I think that Pope didn’t do himself any favours today and maybe Dubravka should have a game and I can’t understand why Lascelles is playing right sided defender which means Schär is having to play out of place on the left when we have Burn who was brought in as a left sided defender
Still think we did well and a draw at West Ham is good

I would have been satisfied with a point before the game, but it feels like a kick in the nuts to concede so close to the end.

Eddie state fatigue set in. It was clear that Anderson couldn't get back to help BDB out. As the West Ham player who assisted broke forward.

We'll take the point and move on.

7 points off top. 4 points off 4th place and a Champions League spot after 8 games. Still a long way to go, 30 game to be precise.

    All to play for.

Another big team played away from home. Another tough game out the way. We'll beat them at SJP.

    Game on!

Put Burn in at cb, and play Livramento at left back

Dan Burn has played very well in the last two games at LB. With Botman back, why wouldn’t he keep his place there?
