    Partick Thistle (A)

Friday afternoon and no one has started a thread about this game yet - is that an indication of likelihood of the game going ahead?

Watching Jim Goodwin's pre-match press conference, it looks like Declan Gallacher is doubtful for this game, with Ross Graham the likely replacement. How do people feel about this - able replacement or slightly concerned?

    Game will be fine.

Only issue with Graham is the fact he's a lefty playing on the right. It affected our distribution vs Raith and will no doubt do the same tomorrow. He simply does'nt have a right foot!

I think you will find he does, it just doesn't work. Apologies, thought someone else might have beat me to that one.

There is defo a player in there somewhere, he was pretty good for us playing on the left of 3 centre backs if I remember correctly.

Similar to McMann. Play them in their best/preferred position, and you will hopefully get a good performance. If not, leave them out until they get a chance to play there, then stake their claim. (unless injury, or suspension dictates)

Being confined to quarters due to the weather, i have been itching to start this since yesterday. However, i am scarred to as i started many threads last season, and we were beaten in every one of them.

If anyone is doubtful, leave em out to prevent any long term problems with this team being plenty good enough.

    Walton,
    Grimshaw, Graham, Holt, McMann,
    Mochrie, Docherty, Sibbald,
    Middleton, Moult, Watt.

Now to put a hex on things and say we have already achieved what is accepted to be the quarterly total to win this league, and while everyone wants a win, a draw or loss is not a disaster. That said, a win gives us points in the bag against a close rival, with our closest rivals game postponed.

    Lets get it done United!

With the Raith game off this would be a fantastic 3 points.

I think this will be our toughest game to date and IMO I don't think we've really had any tough games yet, I thought Raith would be have been difficult but I didn't really rate them to be honest and didn't cause us too much problems.

Really hope we have abody fit so we can give ourselves the best chance of coming back up the road with the 3 points and really stick it to Brian Graham and his mates....he'll be right up for this I have no doubts about that and I really think if we finish above Thistle then we win this league.

Agree, think Partick are our main rivals for the title ahead of Raith
