Good early decision - some won't be happy of course but in the current weather conditions probably no choice.

Think the Police made the decision. Basically if it’s a red warning, they are suggesting do not travel

I am not surprised as heavy rain is forecast for Angus tomorrow which would make travelling to Aberdeen difficult.

Hopefully the management of Dundee Football Club will arrange an early inspection of the Dens Park pitch on Tuesday morning to avoid Ross County and their supporters plus out of town Dundee supporters a wasted journey if the game is called off by the match referee an hour or so before kickoff.

There is also wind damage to Aberdeen's stadium to take into account. The Aberdeen support seem to have been expecting the match to be off.

That's exactly what the management of Dundee Football Club ( who you incessantly criticise) did on the original date of the match, the game being cancelled by c. 10.30. I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be just as prudent come Tuesday if required.

The day before the original Ross County game I sent Greg Fenton, General Manager of Dundee Football Club an email asking him if he had arranged a early pitch inspection in light of the poor weather forecast for the Dundee area.
I received a reply from Greg Fenton advising me that the Club have a team checking the weather forecast and they are in dialogue with the SPFL and the SFA.

Well done for forcing an early decision Islay. I fear without your intervention we would have had to wait until much nearer the scheduled kick off time before any inspection would have been made with the subsequent consequences of course.

I was holding off purchasing my ticket for the original Ross County game as the Club do not give a refund until after the previously cancelled game is replayed.
I will be holding off purchasing a ticket for this Tuesday’s rearranged home game against Ross County for the same reason.
Under normal circumstances with the rain due to stop on Saturday evening Tuesday night’s game against Ross County should not be in doubt but with the Dens Park pitch having drainage problems the pitch may have not dried out in time for the Ross County game.
