How much power do Sky TV have?

There’s flooding everywhere around the town, no trains/trams, the river Don has already burst its bank on Don Street yet, up to now the game is still on,

Nothing from South Yorkshire Police to say due to Health and Safety the match should be cancelled.

Considering Sky TV have been at the stadium the last three days setting up and they will have paid our club to film, do they have the overall shout on whether this match goes ahead? They won’t be able to reschedule it for a new Tuesday or Wednesday slot as their calendar will already be full. So to them it’s lost money on advertising revenue if it’s cancelled.

There’s power and stupidity mixed into this situation today and common sense should be the winner. It should be called off.

I don’t think that Sky have the power to call games off or make sure they go ahead. Surely that is up to the Ref or the police.

and if it was on Sky today, the match would have been played tomorrow as scheduled and likely the rain and flooding will have passed
