I remember well, buying Stevie Wonder - Songs in the key of life. Cost me about £11 and that was way back in 1976.
A great double album with a very thick book included with the double LP. I actually listened to a few songs from it about 6 months ago but for some reason it didn't resonate with me like it did back then.
For some reason, never really had much in the way of double albums. The only one that comes to mind is the soundtrack to the film "American Graffiti" which I really rate because it's such an eclectic compendium of 50s/early60s music.
