Such sad news. The first time I saw Charlie play was when Dad finally took me to VP for the first time in the 1970/71 season when I believe we had dropped into the 3rd division.
660 appearances for the club an amazing player and a lovely man.

I agree with all of the above. As a kid, he would have been the first footballer that I revered, I thought that he’d go on forever. He almost did.
