Genuine question. Would you rather DFC went burst, so you could say I told you so. Or would you rather be the new proposed stadium be a success?

That is a difficult question to answer as my preferred option is to remain at Dens Park.
    However to answer your question.
My answer would be for the new proposed stadium to be a success as it would not affect me.
I would return to being a Dundee FC armchair supporter which I was from 1981 until December 2009.

The 29.7 acres site site at the former NCR Camperdown grounds plus the main entrance of the former NCR Camperdown factory are owned by Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited who have nothing to do with Dundee Football Club Limited apart from having two common directors.
    Now a question for you.
Why would the directors of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited borrow £1,130,322 from an Isle of Man based financial company with the 29.7 acres site plus the former main entrance to the former NCR Camperdown factory secured against this loan when they planning to build a new stadium development on the site.

    I'll ask a question now.

Islay, have you ever taken out a secured loan loan or remortgaged a property in order to finance an improvement to that property thereby increasing the intrinsic value of that property?

I've no idea if that's the reason this loan has been taken out, and I still believe the 'new stadium' is a pipe dream, but it wouldn't be particularly unusual for this to happen would it?

    You’d have to ask them.

Well, let’s hope the new stadium happens then.

I increased my mortgage which was a repayment mortgage to add an extension to our house.

I think it is strange to borrow funds at commercial ‘pay day’ lending rates which is secured on a site which is supposed to have planning permission for a new stadium development on it to be submitted to Dundee City Council by the end of this calendar year.
Like you I think that the new stadium is a pipe dream.

Not much chance of that happening as Nelms does answer emails and I am not in his close circle of friends.
