Have to agree I think this is a nailed on 0-0. Which although not a loss, still isn’t good enough on the back of seven without a win and two certain defeats to Hearts and Celtic looming.

Best chance to have broken the winless streak would have been had the original fixture gone ahead as scheduled.
The weekend after St.Mirren easily tromped all over them. Those are the only 3 points this season to have slipped out of reach, no fault of the team, just the weather.

Since then nothing much has changed on the Motherwell end as the horrible run continues.
But St.Johnstone ditched their boss, they won their first game (against the team we were woeful against), and will have their new boss in charge.
So in the current run of defeatism our team will be facing St.Johnstone with optimism and likely to benefit from the new manager bounce.

Difficult to see how we get anything from this game other than ending up 1 point off the foot of the table.

Must say I admire your optimism at looking at our defence and predicting a nailed on clean sheet!

Think with the players already out long term and with those on treatment tables after Saturday’s game. I think we will struggle to put out a team capable of getting us a clean sheet at least. Goes against my way football should be played but think we have to put out a team not to lose this game on Tuesday not necessarily win the game, anything better than a point would be a bonus on our current performances.

Putting out a team not to lose would be a major mistake. It's notable how less aggressive we are in pressing, probably because we're scared of losing. The result is our defence is put under more pressure and as we win the ball back further from goal give our attack more to do.

Even with the injuries we still have a squad that should be able to look to beat St Johnstone.

Craig Levein: St Johnstone appoint former Scotland and Hearts manager as team boss

Let's hope the new manager bounce kicks in a wee bit late.

Think if we can score first goal we will be okay, lose the first goal and the confidence and heads will go down.

Our defence (or lack of one) couldn’t keep kids out a close, never mind stop the opposition from scoring from set pieces

We are an absolute mess, you can’t blame the manager for players that are so called professionals that don’t know how to defend, by attacking the ball. They are all waiting on someone else doing the hard graft for them. Midfield players look totally unfit and disinterested in showing any
    desire and determination
