The management of Dundee Football Club are needing to tell the Dundee supporters whether they are more interested in them or just wanting the Old Firm money.
If they want just the Old Firm money then they should ramp up the ticket prices for the home games against Rangers and Celtic citing the increased cost of policing for home games against both clubs as the reason because the Rangers and Celtic supporters cannot behave themselves when they attend football matches at Dens Park.

In my opinion the Club are not maximising every revenue stream possible.
    1. The 1893 Foundation would be better supported if it was stated that the funds donated would be handed over to the manager to increase his playing budget. This happens at Aberdeen and Ayr United.
Up to a fortnight ago the 1893 Foundation page had not been updated on the Club website since April 2022.
    2. The Club are missing a trick in their sponsorship of players.
We only have sponsorship of first team players jersey whereas other SPFL clubs advertise sponsorship of players shorts and also socks.
The goalkeepers gloves are also sponsored in other SPFL clubs.
The manager and the rest of his team should be available for sponsorship which happens in other clubs.
    3. Hospitality is too expensive.
£198 including VAT for last Wednesday night’s home game against Rangers was ridiculous. The club need to charge realistic prices if they want to sell out hospitality every home game.

They need the Old Firm money, due to the fact that our home core support is an embarrassment. If like Hearts, our so called fans turned up for these games, we could afford to cut the away support ticket allocation.

Hospitality is too expensive for the ordinary fan, but businesses will pay the price. Out of interest, how much would you charge.

Just had a wee look at the player sponsorships.9 of the names didn't have a sponsor for either their Home or Away strip. Pineda and McCowan didn't have a sponsor for their Away strips, and Trevor Carson didn't have a sponsor for his home strip. Could be that the website is behind but having sponsors names posted in all the areas where they should be posted is important. Think it might be worth just checking what is going on and perhaps trying to get the availability of some player sponsorship deals publicised.

Also didn't see any sponsorship associated with the manager and his team. I have a couple of jerseys with Jim Duffy when he was manager. Is there a reason why the management team can't be sponsored. If they are sponsored then perhaps publicising the details would make sense.

In my opinion our core support is falling due to a lack of communication from the management of Dundee Football Club.
The Foundation of Hearts have boardroom representation which the Dundee supporters do not have despite keeping the club alive during two Administrations.
John Nelms surrounds himself with a very close circle of friends with nobody else getting a look in.
I am surprised that Tim Keyes has not made a statement to the Dundee supporters to rally the troops as due to falling attendances the Dundee Football Club Limited debt is increasing every year.
Tim Keyes and John Nelms were present at the Player of the Year dinner in the Invercarse Hotel two days after we defeated Queens Park 5-3 to win the Championship and gain automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
That was the ideal opportunity for either Tim Keyes and/or John Nelms to make a speech thanking the players and management team for their endeavours plus thanking the Dundee supporters for their support throughout the season.
    Instead they said nothing!!!

In my opinion this is done to a lack of communication from the Dundee Football Club Commercial department.
It is only because I highlighted to the Club in 2019 their website stated that ‘Sponsors receive website accreditation’ that the names of the first team players strip sponsors are listed on the Club website.
There should be at least a monthly notice on the Club website listing details of players who are still available for sponsorship.
The management team should also be sponsored.
Last season 2022-23 the names of the sponsors of players were never updated.
Dee4life who last season did not sponsor any first team players were still listed as sponsoring Sean Byrne and Paul McGowan.
From memory I think that it was Sean Byrne’s home strip and Paul McGowan’s away strip.

Due to many people who claim to support Dundee not actually bothering turning up to watch anything but a derby, we need big paydays from Rangers and Celtic.

How many tickets you give them is the question and with the stands / segregation the way it is, you’ve got limited options.

    1. Leave it as it is

    2. Give them the Shankly only

    3. Give them the Derry and end of main stand and house Dundee fans from Derry in Shankly

    4. Don’t give them any and lose a fortune.

I enclose details of the Livingston FC players sponsored on their website. https://livingstonfc.co.uk/team/men/player-sponsorship/
You will notice that every player has both a Home strip sponsor and an Away strip sponsor including players who are out on loan.
The sponsorship of a Livingston players costs £200 + VAT.
According to the Dundee FC website the sponsorship of one player costs £375 plus VAT which equates to £450
The cost of sponsoring two players is £650 plus VAt which equated to £780. https://dundeefc.co.uk/commercial/sp...r-sponsorship/
In my it is a poor state of affairs that Dundee Football Club with a core support of 4,500 supporters and many more throughout the U.K. and worldwide cannot get all their players sponsored while Livingston Football Club with a core support of about 1,000 supporters can do so.
It all boils down to poor advertising and a lack of communication by the Commercial Department and the management of Dundee Football Club.

Make the home game against Rangers and Celtic pay per view providing they are not being televised on SKY and only sell the Old Firm clubs tickets for sections A, B and C of the Main Stand. These tickets can only be purchased in in the Dundee Direct ticket office were anyone purchasing a ticket has to give details of their full name and address. This happens at present for Old Firm supporters living in this area who do not want to trail through to Glasgow to purchase a ticket for the Bob Shankly Stand.
