Don't think refs can stand up to the pressure put on them by the OF. Don't think it is based on a conscious bias. Fans influence decisions and the team that makes the biggest noise seems to me to get the benefit of the doubt. For the OF to lose a game because of a refereeing error seems to me to be very rare.

It isn't doing them any good and their results when they move put of the little pond that is Scotland and into Europe they are quickly found out at the highest level.

Referees should be compelled to state which football team in Scotland they support (if any) before they are appointed to referee SPFL matches.
Steven McLean never refereed any matches involving the Dabs because his brother played for the Dabs.
The same thing happened when Steven McLean’s brother then joined Ross County. Steven McLean did not referee any games involving Ross County.

…so according to your logic they shouldn’t get games for teams they support as they could do them a favour….but can referee games involving rivals…where they could do them a favour?

That is why we need referee from England and the Scottish referees can officiate at EFL matches.
I see that a Celtic player was sent off last night during their Champions League game in Madrid as a result of a VAR review.
I doubt if this would ever happen in Scotland to a Celtic or Rangers player playing in an SPFL game or a Scottish Cup tie.

Celtic lose 6 0 and it isn't anything to do with referees. They only ever play one team that attacks them and has an expectation to win. No competition in their domestic league. They are bullies and get found out when they come up against better players.

Their reputation counts for nothing with foreign referees.
Celtic’s 6-0 defeat by Ath Madrid shows how far Scottish league football has fallen since the glory days of the 1960’s and early 1970’s.
The introduction of the ten teams Premier League and the home team keeping the gate has in my opinion resulted in a lack of competition in the Premier League with only two teams (Celtic and Rangers) ever going to win it.

Great suggestion. Let's have a competition where the teams are handicapped, if they won the previous year they can only play with 9 men, if they won two years previously they could play with 10 men. It happen in golf all the time so why not football? Alternative would be start the teams who did best the previous season in the league with a one goal handicap for every goal in the first half of the season. If they are still top extend it to the second half.
