Lol. I'm watching. Had I not known, I would have guessed Ipswich were lower end of table. They're ****e. Leif Davis has more hair on his eyebrows than I have on my hole or I mean whole body.
Great. We put 'Below Deck' on. I knew if I'd have continued watching, ipswich would have won. It worked. All these welts saying we'll get 15 points out of next 5 games. Gimme strength.
Better than I expected to be honest.
Consistency is the key.
More Leicester performances and less Stoke performances.
Pick your best team Farkey boy, then sub on the young lads if we happen to have a decent lead.
Suprised at the job Byram is doing. Think he’s happy to be home.
Totally amazed at the job Georgy Rutter is doing. I take it all back.
Kamara may be the buy of the season.
We will only get better and I fancy us for automatic promotion.
Provided we take the likes of plimouth serious and don’t trip up.
Glass half full again.
Cooper, Ayling and Bamford need to be gently weaned off and put in a different field.
So, season so far? There's a risk that we "flatter to deceive", in that a great many clubs, LUFC included, are doing what they did early doors the year we got promoted i.e all taking points off each other allowing some somewhat more consistent performers to open up gaps in the points category. The last couple of weeks show that that isn't likely to continue, and I suspect the gap between the top two and the following 4 (at least), will close, we will see, but if that is to happen, we need consistent performances of the sort we saw against Leicester, of that there is no doubt.
As always, the focus has to be on what we can control, and I agree with a number of others that Farke HAS to pick he strongest team, and if that means the likes of Bamford, Cooper and Ayling don't figure, so be it. I haven't seen anything in the few minutes ha the latter two have played to suggest they should replace any of the other regulars, and it pains me to say but I think Bamford would struggle to get game time if Farke goes the route suggested. Whilst stability is essential, I'd also echo others calls for the youth players (Joseph, Hjelde etc) to be given realistic game time whenever possible.
The newcomers are still finding their feet, although I'm delighted to admit that (so far!) Kamara is proving me very wrong indeed. Piroe and Ampadu are a bit "hot and cold", Rodon seems to have settled into the defensive formation and it's given Struijk a new lease of life. Byram has surprised me (amongst others) and I hope he stays fit to show us just how good he really is. Antony and Gruev? Who knows, neither have played much, and what we have seen so far doesn't set the world alight. It's great to see Mesliers confidence returning, not a finished product yet, might not be all season, but saves like the one against Leicester show he has the talent, just needs to believe in himself a little more. The forward unit can be really exciting and it's good to see the willingness of the forward line to track back when required (as it regularly is, there aren't many "weak" team in the Championship!), but the standouts for me are Summerville (but please can someone tell him to look at options when he approaching the 18yd box?), and Rutter who has been something of a revelation this season, and not for the reasons some might have hoped for. He isn't likely, on he evidence so far (ALL he time he has been at LUFC), to be an out-and-out striker (go back to my other comments about playing Joseph in the role when possible). He Is a great creator, has wonderful awareness with and without the ball, and with a little more work I honestly think he could be the new Hernandez, so much has he changed over the last 6 months.
As for how we play, the Farke tactics/strategy have been a breath of fresh air after "Yee hah", but just as the team/1st 11 need to play consistently, the cracked record would suggest that he needs to be consistent in team selection. I made comment on he "Schitty" thread about the way their players work for each other. We have some of that, and I'm not suggesting we have the players to equal the performance of the likes of of Harland, de Bruyne etc. but we could, and should do better, there are way to many passes that go square rather than forward, every player, and I mean EVERY player, should know where their team mates are, and how to ensure that when they pass the ball, it's with the greatest effect (not always forwards, but even if square or back, ensuring that the return to forward play can be achieved with minimal effort and maximum effect). City do that, and whilst they have a squad of players that are superior in many ways, that habit of always looking for the forward ball, or if not then something that gets us back on the front foot ASAP isn't their property.
Onwards and (hopefully) upwards

Agree with all above, good post, still jarred off about the stoke game, as we would now be only 4 points behind Ipswich, still think Leicester will walk it and that second place is up for grabs, Middlesbrough, Southampton and west brom have come on strong lately, farke is superb (stoke game apart) from what he had to contend with to start with, players leaving in droves, players refusing to play, hardly a team to field etc he has got a superb team ethos and long may it continue, happy with how it's all going so far
During the summer, I have to admit I was all doom and gloom. We took ages to get a manager in. All the players abandoning ship and leaving us adrift.
I agree with all the above as well.
I did have my doubts about Byram coming back but he has been very good. Farke has been the signing of the season for me, he seems to have stamped a sense of belief into the squad. not seen many games this season but we are playing entertaining football and it seems the squad have bought into Farke's game plan.
I doubted Rutter as well, but his vision and work has now made a believer of me.
Overall I'd give the squad a B so far, still a long season ahead with the busy Christmas period coming in the next month. One thing I have noticed though, we don't seem to have the injuries we use to have.
Agree with above especially about the lower incidence of injuries. Just would prefer Byram at right back where he has played almost his entire career and where he is best. Like to see a specialist left back at that position. Firpo maybe? Is there anyone else? Long way to go but very encouraging start. Definite chance for automatic promotion.
