By all accounts it turned out to be a great game for the visitors as the Add1cks came from behind to draw with table toppers Portsmouth. The Add1cks have a history of good results against Pompey and this continued at Fratton Park on Saturday.
Alfie May scored an excellent goal from a tight angle late in the 2nd half when Portsmouth were ahead and Conor McGrandles’ brave header in stoppage-time grabbed the equaliser to ensure a draw.
Though Ashley Maynard-Brewer had conceded a penalty, he more than made amends with a volley of late saves and Corey Blackett-Taylor, Edun and Dobson even had chances to win the game at the end.
Charlton goals: May 71, McGrandles 90+3
Portsmouth goals: Kamara 31, Bishop 75
