    Big Tony

Remember the bucket collections? Don valley?
TS is not an oligarch, he is a business man in Rotherham.
We will never compete with the big boys, ever.
But we have a viable club .
I hate dicks on here slating him.
If you want a bad chairman and bad customers just look at the pigs.
    Some real weapons on here.

So why does he talk and act like he expects us to compete when his backing doesn't allow us.

Why does he own new York stadium

Well I think the criticism he sometimes receives is of his own making, particularly when he spouts the same old platitudes, usually around season ticket time. Comments such as - incremental progress, mid table championship security, and saying the budget is competitive (it has to be acknowledged the club has, for our standards, pushed the boat out) and the creme de creme, premiership ambitions. Then it's all quiet again until a manager either walks out or is sacked when we hear of the glowing statement about the high standards of the applicants to take the hot seat.

There is no doubt the club has advanced leaps and bounds over the last decade or so, but we have hardly moved forward on the field any further than when Ronnie was the gaffer. There we are propping up the rest of the league with the other ne'er-do-wells.

I think the numbers of those felling frustrated would be less.critical if they heard less of what many may describe as BS from TS.

    Just a theory.

An excellent summary and I agree most are thankful of what TS has done but there just doesn't seem to be a plan of direction. We are not taking full advantage of the empty units within the ground.Guest and Chrimes just drags on and on with no plans on the agenda. The money from the new TV deal goes up from 7 million to over 10 from next season for Championship clubs. We should be appointing a manager with Championship experience to keep us up NOW,not dilly dallying losing ***** time the new manager will need.As I've mentioned before Rowett would be the one we should appoint but we must show ambition by paying the rate to get him here.It makes economic sense to get the best available, to preserve our league status.

If it wasn't for Big Tone we'd probably be playing Canklow Bucket Bangers next week. Instead, we're playing Leeds United.

I sure if Rowett wants to join us and he doesn’t want silly money then our Chairman will appoint him.

Unfortunately there’s a big assumption there that GR wants to be our Manager. It’s a two way street.
He’s already turned us down before in a previous era, he said he wants some time off after living away from his family in London and he could get the pick of many cship jobs if and when they arise. I would be very, very surprised if he agreed to be Manager of Rufc

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s perhaps biding his time for the Derby job.

Ps Why do people call our owner Big Tone? Bank balance?
