Will be interesting to see what the calibre of the players will be coming in. If we are in proper contention for promotion will we look at players we think will easily play at L1 level. Currently there is probably quite a few we may have question marks over who could compete in L1 which is understandable seeing they have jumped 2 divisions in the space of just over a year and 4 will be jumping 3 in the space of just over 2 years.

Recent history would suggest any dealings in January are likely to be players with plenty of experience. As some have mentioned we need players that can drop in to the side quickly, or at least be challenging.
Although the recent history wasn’t dictated by a window players like JJ, Bostock, Arter, Parsons, Lenonheigh-Evans were all mid season additions.
What the recent history also tells us is that Notts won’t go and sign loads of players. I’d be surprised if there is more than 3.

We do need a midfielder though… with Palmer and Baj out it’s become apparent that we are no longer flush with options. Do we really want to go in to the next 20 odd games with the midfield options we have and hope for no further injuries?Yeah just what me need more midfielders

Absolutely we need a midfielder. Jim is 36, Gosling a loanee, what happens if Bostock gets injured? Just losing Matty and Baj for the year makes this a no brainerYeah just what me need more midfielders

Yeah, been a thorn in our side in the past. What’s his contract status? Teams don’t, or shouldn’t, deal with their immediate rivals, if they can help it. Anyway, just a rumour, there will be many more

Priority has to be defence.
Ideally
2 centre backs permanent.
Midfielder on loan - and maybe Gosling will stay.
Goalkeeper on loan - Anthony Patterson quality.
