    Language

I've noticed the supporters of terror using the word Zionists when they mean Jews......they seem to think this is acceptable.......2 placards in city square calling for the destruction of the Zionists.

Reminds me of the Scottish nationalists language who went from hating "the English" to hating "the conservatives"

Not all Jews are Zionists but many are, best solution would be an Israeli state and a Palestinian state.
Then any Arabs wishing to leave then can.
And the Jews who believe in Zionism can get nearer to their goal.

The term “Zionism” was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum.

Its general definition means the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel.

Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Zionism has come to include the movement for the development of the State of Israel and the protection of the Jewish nation in Israel through support for the Israel Defense Forces.

From inception, Zionism advocated tangible as well as spiritual aims. Jews of all persuasions - left, right, religious and secular - formed the Zionist movement and worked together toward its goals.

    Certainly not.
Back in the early 1980’s we had a ‘loony left’ Dundee District Council run by the Labour Party who had Dundee twinned with Nablus.
There has been no mention in recent years about this twinning.
Does anyone know if the City of Dundee is still twinned with Nablus.
