    RIP Terry Venables

Passed away aged 80 after a long illness .

A bit of a geezer no doubt but he knew his football , tactically superb .

Euro 96 was one of the iconic tournaments in my opinion and the way we played against the Dutch in the 4-1 win was one of the best England performances of all time .

To the tune of Badiel and Skinner it was a magically four weeks .

RIP Tel , thanks for the memories .

Ahead of his time with his coaching
I’ve listened to loads of podcasts of ex players and nearly all of them say he’s the best manager they’ve ever played for
Who knows what he could have done with England had he been given another couple of tournaments
    RIP el tel

Loved to have seen him in charge of the squad that left these shores for the world cup in 2006 in Germany .

The only manager that got the very best out of Paul Gascoigne to be fair. Tactically astute and a good man manager. That win against Holland in Euro 96 was a game I'll never forget. Some of our play that night was groundbreaking stuff for an England team. We played with skill, intelligence, passion and swagger.
