    Leeds v Swansea

    Leeds v Swansea Wed 29 Nov 19:45
Between meeting three Yorkshire teams in a week and Yorkshire Pudding for Sunday lunch will we be thoroughly fed up of anything Yorkshire by the end of the week!
Could well be. We didn’t get off to a very good start last Saturday, throwing away a two goal lead against Hull after being tactically outsmarted by their head-coach Liam Rosenior second half.
Having met two of the divisions top three teams recently, both games ending in defeat, here’s the third one coming up, Leeds United. They are on course for a swift return to the PL and are unbeaten at home this season under new head-coach Daniel Farke, keeping their best players, aided by a £30m parachute payment and selling their main asset Tyler Adams for £26m.
Four Welsh internationals in their team, three ex-Swans, one our top scorer of the last two seasons. It’s easy to see where we went wrong when we were relegated and have gone wrong ever since. Selling 26 players was suicidal that first season back in the Championship and predictably we’ve sold our best players every season and struggled ever since.
It will be a difficult task to get anything at Elland Road, but let’s put on our optimistic hat here and point out that we have five away wins under our belt already this season and are playing much better away from home.

We need to double up on the wings as Leeds like to attack wide on the break.
I’m hoping the turncoat Piroe doesn’t score. He said he wanted to leave to play in the Premier League then goes to a rival Championship club for more money.

    Leeds 3 (Piroe 4’, Rutter 48’, James 61’) - Swansea 1 (Paterson 1’)

We lost as expected. Two of Leeds three ex-Swans scored, as expected.
Leeds were different class, we couldn’t compete with their pace and accurate passing, second half especially, they should have scored more. Defensive frailties and misplaced passes our undoing once again.
Saturday’s opposition Huddersfield won away at Sunderland 1-2 tonight. We had better start picking up points soon, we are seven points off a relegation spot in 18th place, and it’s a bitterly disappointing season so far.

That second half was poor from us, a disjointed shambles truth be told.
