On the Turfites board, the Bedlington Terrier claiming he had the police at his door first thing this morning regarding comments he's posted. Surely he must be having a laugh?

That board is getting more and more unruly. A quick visit shows the eejit trolling the board owner Moonie about posts on X, and a weird board invasion by someone called “jefac”.

It’s a tough life running a board like that and I don’t envy Moonie running it himself. He’s done a sterling job so far and deserves great credit, but the downside of popularity can be not being able to control the great unwashed who frequent the place. The trolls, WUMs and professionally argumentative amongst his membership will take over if ne’s not careful, and I’d find that regretful.

And, in case anyone’s wondering, I have NEVER posted on that board.

I have Griff, and its getting more and more pathetic as the weeks roll by. With Pig hijacking every thread and 'I can bash your dad' attitude, and 'Northern Souls' extreme right wing and football violence views, and not forgetting the 'We hate everything about the old board and especially Jenkins' mob, then it is really starting to get really, really childish.
Heaven knows what the Piataks think if they read the *******s on there.

Why not? Was it not you who kept saying that people should post on BOTH boards.

Because AA, if I went over there chaos would ensue, and I think more of Moonie than to ruin his board. I was a poster on the previous board, dipping in and out, but a bit of equilibrium is needed.

Moonie is a very capable moderator who has built up a very busy message board in a short space of time. He can keep order without having to resort to bans and I am sure he could manage whatever "choas" you might bring. Basically all you would need to do is keep your cool when Piglet tries to wind you up and then you would be free to contribute to a thriving community.
