Top 6! Might as well finish 17th.

Top 5 or it’s been a failure of a season and sets us back at least a couple of years.

    😁 Bruno, man. Chill out.

The average finishing position of clubs in their first season in the Champions League (and after 20 years that's effectively what this is) is 8th.

And that's before you factor in what must be the worst injury crisis our club has ever known.

I don't necessarily disagree that it might set us back but 6th, for example, would actually be a very good season when everything else is taken into consideration. Spurs and Liverpool have upped their game, Villa are a very good bet to finish higher than us too and our injuries are killing us. We may buy well in January, we may go on a decent cup run, we may improve our away form to add to our home form. So many variables and possibilities yet to unfold.

But, if that's how high you set your bar, you're very rarely going to be happy, certainly in the short term.

Remember 'we don't demand a club that wins, we expect a club that tries'...?

Tbh I’d be well pleased with 6th this season and a good run in one of the cups. You cannot understate this injury crisis and I know we would’ve beaten Bournemouth and Everton if we’d had even half the players out that we have.
Eddie and the club don’t like to use injuries as an excuse but I feckin am. It’s a season changer without doubt.
