I would think like this:

Winger (better than Almiron, at least Gordons level)

Striker (that also can be creative and better all round than Wilson)

CM (better than Longstaff, around Brunos level)

If that cant be found in a difficult january marked, then I would look for a CB, LB or GK that can compete for a starting place.

If we cant tick any of those boxes, there is no point of bringing in anyone, as there is nothing more to play for this season.

Tend to agree with that statement. Not interested in some of the crap we are supposedly linked to, we need PROVEN quality in the positions we are lacking. It's up to Ashworth to deliver in this window, as I think he screwed up the last window signing Tonali over Maddison. Both Barnes and Hall haven't impressed either! Only Tino has been good.

Maddison didn’t want to move up North, what was Ashworth supposed to do.

Barnes has been injured for the majority of the season but he’s gonna be a player that will compete with Gordon, or let Gordon play more down the right.

We can’t just throw money at it, and this isn’t a “but but but Chelsea” thing either, we have a limited income so that affects what we can spend.
