Considering Vincent Kompany was a very good centre back, it is exceptionally surprising that we have a shambolic defence. It is not just corners but any set piece where we are vunerable.

Trafford reminds me of Harry Thompson, who was not the biggest of goalkeepers, but he did have a solid defence infront of him.

I loved Harry VC, still my favourite Burnley goalkeeper. I saw his first game for us at Leicester, he saved a penalty that day, and had a phenomenal penalty saving record, the stats are probably lost in the mists of time but I think he saved more than he let in. My abiding memory of him is a game at West Ham, Harry operated on a very short fuse and one of the liners must have upset him, he set off out of the penalty area running towards him and I'm sure he was intent on decking him, one of our players, I think it was Colin Waldron, caught up with him just in time and dragged him away. A brilliant goalkeeper but only 5ft 9ins, he wouldn't get near the top level in this day and age, far too small.

We have had some brilliant goalkeepers during my time as a claret, Colin McDonald, Adam Blacklaw, Tom Heaton and Nick Pope even Joe Hart,
unfortunately neither Trafford nor Muric would fall int this catagory.

Aye, and we've had some bad uns VC, Roger 'No Hands' Hansbury would be my favourite but there's been a few others as well, more than a few when I come to think about it.

My favourite is Adam Blacklaw, he made the most incredible saves, and showed great bravery at the Siege of Naples in, I think, 1966?

We are being outclassed. Simple as that. However, I do not understand some of the selections. Neither Tarks nor Keane are the quickest CBs so why pick JayRod who couldn’t outpace a cart horse and have Obafemi on the bench? Why keep selecting O’Shea who is a liability? Why bring subs on with 4 minutes to go? What are they expected to do?

Good to see Foster back. But what exactly is Amdouni supposed to be? A No 10? A striker?
    Kompany is just an enigma!
Nothing he does-tactics/team selections make any sense whatsoever.
Anyone else in charge would have been "long gone" by now, but as its clearly obvious-he ticks all the (politically correct) boxes.
Worse still, he began to believe in all the hype and hero worship he received last season-his ego is sealing the clubs fate

February 8th 1967 Chas, Harry Thomson was in goal, Adam was on the bench, but he was certainly involved in the fracas afterwards.
