    The Friday night game at Tannadice, end of October, the centenary occasion v Arbroath.
    There had been incessant rain for two days & we were wondering if the pitch would stand up.
    It did indeed, the surface was superb, the drainage must be amazing.
    The only issue was the threat of floodwater coming down Tannadice Street, pouring out of Dens.

    There are loads of games in Dundee amateur league's that have been played when the game off sign's have been up at Dens.I remember posting that a ref had passed 2 pitches playable at Drumgeith when Dens was off,many may have thought i was kiddin on but no its 100% true.

    Perhaps top tier football teams have stricter requirements then, seems to be a bit less strict for second tier teams
