This year’s fixtures are a little odd to my mind - a full set of fixtures on Friday night rather than on the much more convenient Saturday, to give a few extra hours before the New Year’s Day fixtures. I know it’s asking a lot of the players to play Sat/Mon, but I can remember times back in the day where we played on Boxing Day and then the following day. In 1983, for instance, we played on Dec. 26, 27, 31 and Jan. 2.
Sat, Mon Tue over Easter in days gone by. Often seem to make or break a season.

Can see it being a great game of football today, good sunny but cold weather, Donny are not a bad side, but if we can carry on where we left off at Edgeley Park we can get a netfull maybe 5 or 6 to the good.
Whatever it was great to see us back at our dominant best last Friday, despite the loss, I know 2025 starts next Monday but feel we can start our run in from today.
